Fender Deluxe Telecaster Thinline (3-Tone Sunburst/Rosewood Fretboard)

Vox AC30C2

Today I am reviewing the brand-new Fender Deluxe Telecaster Thinline.  The Fender Deluxe Series just dropped this summer and all the the re-designed guitars are absolutely stunning.  The Fender Deluxe line is loaded with features that players of all levels have been demanding for years.  The Deluxe Thinline come equipped with 2 Vintage Noiseless pickups and sports a 4-way pickup switch.  The added position puts the 2 pickups in phase to produce some unique tones.  Series wiring allows for hotter output and a slight midrange boost.  The heel of the guitar is rounded out to allow for fast chicken picking all the way up the fretboard.  The rounded heel was once only offered on the American Deluxe and now American Elite models.  This guitar absolutely shines.  It produces tasty country licks as well as thick rock crunch when I pushed the VOX AC30.  My favorite feature on the guitar is the locking tuners.  The locking tuners make changing strings a breeze and is great for on the fly players.  The noiseless pickups produce the authentic 50’s Tele tones that we all desire.  If you’re looking for an overall great playing guitar, this might be your Excalibur!
