The guitar is all solid wood: red cedar top, rosewood sides and back, mahogany neck and rosewood fretboard.
The electronics feature the Alvarez System 600T Mk II preamp. This guitar has a beautiful acoustic sound but it excels when plugged in. If you want to play nylon plugged-in live, then this is your guitar!
The Alvarez company has stated that they discontinued this top of the Masterworks line classical because it was competing with their much higher-priced Yairi line.
