SIGNATURE CONCERTO COPPER E

Breedlove prides itself on modern design, but understands that some players just love the classic, unadorned look of a non-cutaway guitar. The Signature Concerto Copper E is for you—symmetrical, round shouldered and as traditional in its tone as in its shape. With the warmth of African mahogany under the pure acoustic power of an “aged” European spruce top, the guitar sounds and feels like an old friend, falling into the hand or onto the knee with a practiced grace. Given as a thoughtful gift, or acquired as a personal reward, the Signature Concerto Copper E will satisfy for years. It’s a lifetime investment.

Made from sustainably-sourced exotic and native tonewoods. No clear-cut trees are used in these instruments. Breedlove uses salvaged and individually harvested timber and has deep relationships with responsible suppliers around the globe. As we move towards sustainability across all lines, owner Tom Bedell has visited 15 countries to discover exactly where the wood comes from, how it is selected and harvested, and how this affects the wildlife, the community, the forest and the planet.

AFRICAN MAHOGANY

Sometimes called khaya, African mahogany has a familiar crisp, clean and warm voice and boasts an impressive versatility, taking well to fingerpicking as well as to a more robust strumming attack without losing clarity. All mahogany instruments—like the Organic Collection Wildwood Series (which features sustainably harvested wood source from the Republic of Congo) offer a natural compression that delights blues players, folkies and singer/songwriters.

CONCERTO BODY SHAPE

Introducing the new Breedlove Concerto, a new guitar shape created to elicit more volume than a classic dreadnought, and more lush, complex tonal resonance in a comfortable body shape that feels just right. Loud, textured, and supremely satisfying.

REAL SOLID TONEWOODS FOR SUPERIOR SOUND

No Richlite or resin impregnated softwoods, no glue-heavy plywoods: just solid real tonewoods for real tone.

NATURAL SOUND ELECTRONICS

New Breedlove Natural-Sound electronics with volume and tone controls, and easy battery replacement uses 2 x AAA batteries.

TORREFIED EUROPEAN SPRUCE

As a guitar top, European spruce is powerful like Adirondack, clear like Sitka, and complex and responsive like Engelmann, all of which are employed in various Breedlove guitar lines. Torrefied European spruce graces the Artista, Performer and Signature Series in Breedlove’s new Organic Collection of sustainably sourced, all solid wood guitars at revolutionary prices. Torrefaction, a thermal process that artificially ages the wood while also turning it more resilient, makes these instruments explode with vintage tone, singing like an old friend that’s been played by a master for 30 years. With the Organic Collection three years in the making, Breedlove owner Tom Bedell literally climbed a mountain to be positive that the exotic FSC-certified tonewoods used in the assortment are harvested in responsible ways that respect the earth, while providing for superior tone that will last a lifetime. High in the windblown Swiss Alps, Bedell watched as European spruce trees were individually selected—each yielding many dozens of top sets—with an eye towards keeping the old growth stands robust for decades to come.
