Technology moves forward at a frantic pace and the world of guitar craftsmanship is no different. In producing the Artwood series, Ibanez respeceted the rich tradition of the acoustic guitar while adding modern interpretations in the continuing search for the ultimate in guitar tone.
This AW150CE OPN features a solid Sitka Spruce top as with Okoume back and sides with an open pore finish that gives the guitar a little more resonance, being a thinner finish. A Nyatoh neck hosts an Ovangkol fretboard with 20 frets, a 43mm nut width and 15.75" radius.
Equipped with a Fishman Sonicore pickup and Ibanez AEQ-SP2 preamp with tuner and balanced XLR and 1/4" inputs for when you're ready to hit the stage. Additional appointments include a laser engraved soundhole rosette, chrome die-cast tuners, bone nut and compensated bone saddle and the Ibanez Advantage Bridge pins.
Ibanez prides themselves on their Advantage bridge pins. These pins really are an advantage over old fashioned pins. Advantage pins are easier to take out and easier to put in than standard pins. A special bulb shaped end makes the pin easy to grip and also prevents the pin from being pushed in too far. Best of all, with Advantage, the pin and string stay put. This guitar is sold as a factory second for some minor finish flaws.
