This amp is in excellent condition and was never gigged or used on the road. This was a studio amp and absolutely looks like it.  This amp has the Mesa Custom Shop options of Bordeaux Wine Tolex, Tan Grille and Leather Corners.  It’s as gorgeous as it is Powerful!

The Mesa Boogie Road King II is designed to be the ultimate multi-channel amp, capable of covering any tonal ground imaginable. With 4 channels, 12 voices, 6L6 and EL34 power tubes to reconfigure on the fly, alongside a whole range of connectivity options, the Road King II is an all-encompassing tool that can be matched to every genre and tone. This amp is the pinnacle of Mesa's know-how and is the perfect live or studio device for the player who needs it all.

4 Independent Channels

The Road King's 4 channels feature completely independent EQ and gain settings, accessible in an instant via the included footswitch. Each channel has independent access to the built-in tube reverb, along with 3 different voices to set the perfect level of headroom and overdrive.

3 Modes Per Channel

Each of the 4 channels has 3 voices to fine tune the amp's response - for a total of 12 separate modes. Each voice is unique in its character and headroom characteristics, creating any sound imaginable including crystal cleans, vintage edge-of-breakup, crunchy rhythms, bluesy leads, '80s-style saturation, modern articulated drives - the list goes on and on.

Progressive Linkage

Mesa Boogie's Progressive Linkage allows you to route each channel's preamp to either 6L6 or EL34 power tubes in various combinations. This gives the ability to, in effect, create a completely different amplifier design - assignable to each channel independently. Progressive Linkage also dictates the overall output wattage, from 50 watts to 120. Not only that, each channel of the Road King II features both diode and tube rectifier tracking so you can set up the perfect response for any style.

Extensive Connectivity

The Road King II features dual speaker outputs which can be selected from every channel. This allows you to use two speaker output options, either independently or in parallel. John Petrucci (of Dream Theater) used this feature to send clean tones to different cabinets from his drive tones for the perfect response. The Road King also has dual FX loops, foot switchable and assignable per channel. The included King Kontroller™ provides extensive remote control over channel changes, tuner output, mute, FX loops, reverbs - everything you need for a fully-featured live performance.

Marine-Grade Cabinet

The marine-grade Baltic birch cabinet provides a rugged housing for the Road King's dual Celestion Custom 90 speakers, giving a focussed tone with excellent projection and balance for the wide range of sounds that this amp can create. The cabinet features removable casters for manageable transportation, along with a rugged covering and strong, side-mounted carry handles.
