The 2008 Gibson SG Special Faded featured a mahogany body and neck, a rosewood fretboard with dot inlays, a comfortable rounded neck profile, and a 24-3/4" scale length with a 1-11/16" nut width, typically loaded with 490R (neck) and 490T (bridge) humbuckers (or three 490s on 3-pickup models) with a six-position rotary switch, all finished in a satin nitrocellulose lacquer for a worn, vintage feel.
