Part of their X Series, the Martin Special 000-X2E spruce-rosewood acoustic-electric guitar offers you a chance to experience the legendary craftsmanship of C.F. Martin & Co. at an accessible price. Featuring a solid spruce top and rosewood-patterned back and sides, the balanced 000 body produces full, resonant tone that is perfect for any genre. The mahogany neck and Richlite fingerboard provide a smooth playing feel whether practicing unplugged or performing live.
Premium Tonewoods for Authentic Martin Sound
As with all Martin guitars, the X Series Special 000-X2E starts with the finest tonewoods. The solid Sitka spruce top generates crisp articulation and bell-like highs. The rosewood-patterned back and sides provide warm, balanced lows and mids. Together, these premium woods create the signature Martin sound that has endured for over 180 years. The overall tone is rich, full and evenly balanced across the tonal spectrum.
Comfortable Neck and Fingerboard
The mahogany neck on the X Series Special 000-X2E has a slim profile for fast, easy playing. Whether practicing intricate fingerpicking patterns or navigating barre chords, the neck's shape and smooth finish facilitate fluid transitions along the fingerboard. The Richlite fingerboard, made from resin-impregnated paper, adds warmth and resonance. With 20 frets and a 14-fret join at the body, the neck offers versatility for any playing style.
Martin E-1 Pickup System
Martin's E-1 pickup system gives you control over your amplified tone. Simply plug into an amplifier or PA, and adjust the onboard controls to achieve a robust acoustic sound or a crisp, articulated tone. The E-1 captures the resonance of the solid spruce top and rosewood-patterned back and sides, allowing you to share the signature Martin sound with any audience.
