Styled in a transparent cherry flame finish, Ovation's Applause Elite AE44IIP is an acoustic/electric guitar featuring a single-cutaway mid-depth Lyrachord body with a flame maple veneer top, as well as quarter-sawn, scalloped "X" bracing. If projection on a stage is your primary goal, then this acoustic/electric guitar is more than up for the task: Its rounded-back body, bass-side soundholes, and resonant top facilitate a clear, balanced, and complex tone. A rosewood bridge rounds out the body. Its nato mahogany neck has a 25.25" scale and a 20-fret rosewood fingerboard with a 10" radius, demarcated by abalone dot inlays. A set of die-cast sealed tuners secure the strings at the headstock.
