Breedlove Solo Pro Concerto CE Acoustic ElectricBass. Edgeburst Red Cedar African Mahogany
Brand New. Not available for curbside pickup. Online orders only.
If basses are the stepchildren of the instrument family, acoustic basses are third cousins, twice removed. Most people just don’t think about them, ever, except when Grandma convenes the family every five years for a reunion, whereupon you run into them at the bar and think, “Oh yeah, I forgot that cousin even existed.” At Breedlove, we’re all about embracing extended family, and while we might not have a lot of acoustic bass models, the ones we make are spectacular. Case in point, the Solo Pro Edgeburst Bass, an all-solid wood body, professional grade acoustic bass, more than capable of laying the foundation for any band. A red cedar top sweetens and warms the robust, rich tones emanating from African mahogany back and sides.
While bass players set the cadence for the entire band, it can be hard for them to hear themselves when playing in a group. The side monitor soundhole solves this challenge. With a 34-inch scale length and Concerto body shape, the Solo Pro delivers bold sound that translates through the reliable Fishman Flex Plus-T electronics when plugged in. The cutaway body gives full access to the entire ovangkol fretboard, just in case the band lets you solo for a couple bars.
The unique Side Monitor Soundhole that virtually puts your ears in the audience while you play. Hearing every nuance of your instrument—whether you’re writing, rehearsing or performing—gives you a sonic perspective that will bring out the best in your playing.

Inspiring, all-solid tonewoods
- Breedlove built the Organic Solo Pro from all-solid tonewoods to ensure that the instrument outperforms just about any other guitar in its price range. The body features a red cedar top for an open attack and sweet, ear-pleasing trebles. Meanwhile, African mahogany back and sides contribute a warm, active midrange that pairs perfectly with most singers. Together, the two tonewoods deliver the ideal sound for every application.
Cascade bracing pattern maximizes your sound
- Named for the mountain range just outside of Breedlove’s Oregon headquarters, Cascade bracing is an advanced, data-driven approach to traditional scalloped bracing. It applies the design principles of Breedlove’s acclaimed Sound Optimization technology to the company’s more affordable models. The customized brace shapes and profiles allow your guitar to vibrate with complete freedom, treating listeners to a rich, well-balanced tone with truckloads of projection. Breedlove guitars equipped with Cascade bracing offer custom shop tone and response at a fraction of the price.
Eco-conscious construction
- For years, Breedlove has worked tirelessly to lessen its environmental impact. Since 2021, every Breedlove instrument is constructed entirely from environmentally friendly tonewoods. Stunningly figured myrtlewood, luxurious curly maple, resonant African mahogany, heirloom-quality koa, smooth-as-glass ebony, and more are on offer — and all of them individually harvested in cooperation with local communities and suppliers. From the introductory Discovery Series to the bespoke, handcrafted Masterclass Series, every guitar and bass bearing the Breedlove name ushers in a new era of environmental responsibility and look good doing it.
Breedlove: guitars you can feel good about
- From the company’s beginning in 1990, Breedlove has focused a lot of their efforts on offsetting their impact on the planet without compromising the quality of their instruments. Their radical approach to sustainability led Breedlove to create their Tonewood Certification Program and commit to visiting the locations where their timber is harvested to ensure that their sustainability standards are met. The company has introduced player-centered innovations, including top-loading bridges, fine-tuned voicings, and unique neck profiles. From the Discovery to the Legacy, each and every Breedlove is made with an uncompromising dedication to quality sound, flawless workmanship, and complete environmental sustainability. Buying a Breedlove is much more than purchasing a top-notch acoustic guitar — it’s buying a guitar that you can feel good about.
