A suede-finished all-solid African mahogany body makes the Wildwood Pro Companion Suede CE an instant Americana icon—one that fits as comfortably on the trail, on the plane, or at the beach as it does in the office. Never before has a travel guitar offered such warm, full sound and comfortable playability. Whether practicing or performing, Breedlove’s Companion shape rewards hours of play with classic tone. It’s loud enough to hold its own in a jam and chill enough for the hotel room, writing songs in the dorm, or after the kids are asleep. The stage-ready Fishman Flex Plus-T electronics and a gig bag mean you can even use this as an all-around gigging guitar. While its simple, striking suede finish will make you want to pick it up again and again.

Made from sustainably-sourced exotic and native tonewoods. No clear-cut trees are used in these instruments. Breedlove uses salvaged and individually harvested timber and has deep relationships with responsible suppliers around the globe. As we move towards sustainability across all lines, owner Tom Bedell has visited 15 countries to discover exactly where the wood comes from, how it is selected and harvested, and how this affects the wildlife, the community, the forest and the planet.

All-mahogany construction

  • An acoustic guitar’s tonewoods are a major factor in the final sound. The Organic Wildwood Pro Companion CE features breathtaking all-solid tonewoods to guarantee a breathtaking unplugged tone. The body is built with African mahogany for the top, back, and sides. It creates a warm and resonant tone with a present midrange response that pairs perfectly with most singers; the design is completed by a sleek mahogany neck and ovangkol fingerboard that plays like a dream.

Cascade bracing pattern maximizes your sound

  • Named for the mountain range just outside of Breedlove’s Oregon headquarters, Cascade bracing is an advanced, data-driven approach to traditional scalloped bracing. It applies the design principles of Breedlove’s acclaimed Sound Optimization technology to the company’s more affordable models. The customized brace shapes and profiles allow your guitar to vibrate with complete freedom, treating listeners to a rich, well-balanced tone with truckloads of projection. Breedlove guitars that are equipped with Cascade bracing offer custom shop tone and response at a fraction of the price.

Eco-conscious construction

  • For years, Breedlove has worked tirelessly to lessen its environmental impact. Since 2021, every Breedlove instrument is constructed entirely from environmentally friendly tonewoods. Stunningly figured myrtlewood, luxurious curly maple, resonant African mahogany, heirloom-quality koa, smooth-as-glass ebony, and more are on offer — and all of them individually harvested in cooperation with local communities and suppliers. From the introductory Discovery Series to the bespoke, handcrafted Masterclass Series, every guitar and bass bearing the Breedlove name ushers in a new era of environmental responsibility and look good doing it.

Breedlove: guitars you can feel good about

  • From the company’s beginning in 1990, Breedlove has focused a lot of their efforts on offsetting their impact on the planet without compromising the quality of their instruments. Their radical approach to sustainability led Breedlove to create their Tonewood Certification Program and commit to visiting the locations where their timber is harvested to ensure that their sustainability standards are met. The company has introduced player-centered innovations, including top-loading bridges, fine-tuned voicings, and unique neck profiles. From the Discovery to the Legacy, each and every Breedlove is made with an uncompromising dedication to quality sound, flawless workmanship, and complete environmental sustainability. Buying a Breedlove is much more than purchasing a top-notch acoustic guitar — it’s buying a guitar that you can feel good about.
