The LTD JRV-8 is a groundbreaking 8-string guitar crafted in collaboration with Javier Reyes, known for his innovative work in Animals as Leaders, Mestis, and TRAM. Designed to push the boundaries of creative expression, the JRV-8 pairs advanced features with exceptional build quality. Its 27” baritone scale accommodates extended range tunings like F#-B-E-A-D-G-B-E, while remaining flexible enough for alternative tunings that inspire new musical ideas.

 

Built with bolt-on construction, the JRV-8 features an alder body and a five-piece maple/walnut neck with a thin flat contour for maximum playability. The maple fingerboard includes stunning double-bar abalone inlays, 22 extra-jumbo frets, and a 500mm radius for smooth performance. Equipped with an 8-string Floyd Rose 1000 double-locking tremolo, this guitar ensures stability and precision for dynamic play styles.

 

The JRV-8’s tonal power comes from its H/S/S pickup configuration featuring the Fishman Fluence Signature Series 8-String Javier Reyes pickups. The bridge pickup delivers three selectable voices via a mini-toggle switch, ranging from thick growls to searing leads and clear single-coil tones. The middle and neck pickups provide a spectrum of tones from vintage sweetness to punchy overwound clarity. With gold hardware, LTD locking tuners, and a Metallic Gold finish, the JRV-8 is both visually stunning and musically versatile.
