Fender Limited Edition Gold Foil Jazz Bass Black Sparkle w/Gold Foil Pickups

Over the years, Fender has put out some amazing limited edition guitars, including ones that are incredible values at their price points.  This one may take the cake as the best yet.  Here we have a new Gold Foil Collection Jazz Bass, done as a Fender Special Run for indpendent dealers only.
Of course the first thing you'll notice is the eye catching Black Sparkle finish.  It's going to stand out on any stage while still retaining a bit of restraint.  Plus, has a cool vintage vibe thanks to the tortoiseshell pickguard.  The matching headstock is was really tops it off, literally.
The next thing you'll notice is the pickup configuration - it's a single Gold Foil single coil, which is definiately something you don't see every day.  You get a warm tone, with the right amount of top end sizzle, punchy mids and a thick driving low end.  
The maple neck as a comfortable 60's profile, with binding.  For a unique twist, this one has an ebony fretboard.  A nice added touch is the white pearloid dot inlays.  
Other features include a vintage, and vintage-style lollipop tuners.  The bass comes with a gig bag.
