Fender, better known for electric guitars such as the Strat or Tele, also builds beautiful acoustic guitar instruments with high-quality appointments and excellent workmanship. This limited edition Fender PM-3 Deluxe from the Paramount series is the best proof of this and impresses with a compact 000 design including a neck-to-body transition at the 14th fret, a selected solid Sitka spruce top and back and sides made of dark figured solid East Indian rosewood.
In terms of sound, this results in warm and clear bass frequencies, defined mids and treble frequencies with plenty of overtones. A powerful sound can be heard from the first touch, making the guitar the ideal instrument for picking and fingerstyle of all kinds, but strummers will also get their money's worth ;)
The PM pickup system, developed jointly by Fender and Fishman, is specially tuned to this body shape and guarantees complete sound control and variation.
In terms of playability, the slightly shorter 643mm scale length and wider 44.5mm bone nut in combination with the medium-width C-neck profile make the guitar extremely comfortable to hold and the handy body shape makes it incredibly easy to play - whether on a large stage or on the couch at home.
Visually, the guitar combines design elements of the classic 60s models, including the chessboard-like body binding and rosette, the shape of the pickguard and the custom mother-of-pearl/abalone inlays. Despite this Art Deco look, the Paramount instruments remain true to the modern design.
