When Steve Vai teamed up with Ibanez in 1987, little did he realise what a lasting impact his signature model guitar would have. Today, The iconic JEM has, for so many simply been out of reach - until now.
Steve Vai had always wanted the JEM to be accessible to a broader fan base and together with Ibanez this has now resulted in the JEMJR. A more affordable ticket to the magic that is the JEM, the JEMJR has been built to play.
The JEMJR features a mahogany body and the legendary Ibanez Wizard III neck. Many of the JEMs distinguishing characteristics are here, the H/S/H pickup configuration, the Tree of Life inlays, the double locking tremolo system and the famous Monkey grip and Lion's Claw tremolo cavity.
