The center frequency for the mid control is 630Hz. - RATIO Machine Heads by Graph Tech Guitar Labs With the new RATIO for bass, each string has its own specific gear ratio, so that every string reacts the same to the turn of a machine head. 4 string bass is a gear of 36:1, 30:1, 20:1, and 18:1 for the E,A,D, and G string, and 5 string bass is a gear of 48:1, 36:1, 30:1, 20:1, and 18:1 for the B,E,A,D, and G string, respectively.
