Magnatone Troubadour Model 213 Amplifier. Woodward - Schumacher Transformer Code dates this to a 1959.
Main Filter Cap changed; signal caps are all original.
Magnatone’s popular Troubadour 1×12″ joined the 200 series as Magnatone’s vibrato was added in 1957. Each of the two channels was mixed together via the volume knobs and shared a single tone control before proceeding to the next shared gain stage. The simple two varistor version of F.M.Vibrato is used with depth and speed controls. Described as being an ideal professional amplifier for club dates, recording sessions and T.V. or radio appearances. And considered “true” vibrato as it changes the pitch instead of volume – a desired featured for studio and live players alike.
This amp is all original and features original Schumacher transformers and Oxford Alnico speaker. It has a wonderful deep clean tone that turns into a thick, tweed-esque overdrive as you turn up the volume. The amp also sports Magnatone's iconic, true pitch-shifting vibrato. This amplifier has been cleaned, serviced and tested. It is fully functional and sounds fantastic. New JJ Tubes and a Main Filter Cap.
