The Roland BK-3 is an entry-level 61-key backing keyboard with a host of automatic-accompaniment features, ideal for home enjoyment, education, and solo performance. Packed with 850 instrument sounds, 53 drum sets, over 500 Music Assistants, and 250 rhythm patterns, this keyboard covers musical genres from rock and R&B, to dance, electronic, Latin, and world. And with a 15W speaker system, this portable, self-contained keyboard puts the power of a full ensemble under your fingertips.
The BK-3 lets you play standard MIDI, Music Rhythms, MP3, and WAV backings directly from a connected USB memory stick (available separately), and you can record your performances as audio WAV files. Compatible with the Roland Wireless Connect system, the BK-3 can communicate wirelessly with an iPhone/iPad by simply connecting the WNA1100-RL Wireless USB Adapter (available separately) to the USB port on the keyboard. You can also download free applications that allow you to see the lyrics of songs on an iPad, record your music on your iPhone, or share your recorded composition with friends online.
Comfortable User Interface
The BK-3 features an intuitive control panel and simple, easy-to-read LCD display. It also includes a selection of multi-effects such as reverb, chorus, and EQ to quickly sweeten your sound.
Four different One Touch settings quickly assign the most suitable tones, effects, and other parameters to the real-time parts depending on the Music Rhythm you select.
Performance List function enables you to memorize the desired rhythm or song and all settings you want to load along with that rhythm or song, including settings like Intro/Ending status, selected Variation, and more. This allows you to prepare one set of performance memories for weddings, another for corporate events, a third for anniversaries. The BK-3 comes with a performance list called Music Assistant, which contains 500 factory-programmed performances.

The BK-3 is filled with sounds and rhythms covering an extensive range of music genres from around the world, including Eastern Europe, Latin America, and Asia. There are over 851 sounds and 53 drum kits built in, providing a universe of voices for melody playing and accompaniment. Compatibility with GM2, GS, and XG Lite formats ensure high-quality playback with Standard MIDI Files.
Handy Playback of Backings Directly from USB Memory
The BK-3 can play a variety of external backing formats from an optional USB memory stick, including WAV and MP3 audio, SMF MIDI, and Roland rhythms (BK, E, G, and VA series). Playback tempo and song key can easily be adjusted to suit your vocal range or performing needs, even with audio files. In addition, a Center Cancel function reduces the volume of vocals in commercial WAV/MP3 songs, ideal for karaoke singing and minus-one playing.
Easy Audio Recording onto USB Memory Stick
A dedicated front-panel button makes it simple to record audio directly to a USB memory stick, allowing you to capture full-ensemble BK-3 performances any time you wish for self-evaluation or sharing with friends and family. Your recordings are saved as CD-quality WAV data, making it easy to transfer them to your computer for editing and sharing.
