Washburn Guitars and world-renowned guitarist Nuno Bettencourt have teamed up to create the EA20S-Nuno Bettencourt Signature, a stage-ready acoustic-electric guitar built for performance and tone. Best known for his groundbreaking work with Extreme, GenAx, and touring with Rihanna, Nuno has long inspired guitarists around the world with his dynamic playing style. While primarily known for his Washburn N4 electric, he and Extreme made history with the acoustic hit “More Than Words”, which featured a Washburn Festival Series acoustic-electric. To this day, Washburn Festival models remain his choice for acoustically driven songs.

Carrying that legacy forward, the EA20S-Nuno Bettencourt was designed with the spirit of precision and performance in mind. This thin-line Auditorium style acoustic-electric features a solid Sitka spruce top with quartersawn scalloped bracing, paired with bookmatched Pau Ferro back and sides for rich tone and striking looks. A smooth satin-finished mahogany neck with an Ovangkol fingerboard ensures effortless playability, while Nuno’s “mourning widow” inlay motif adorns the 12th fret and custom rosette for a personal, signature touch.

On stage, the thin body design reduces feedback, and the Fishman Presys II 301T preamp/pickup system delivers a natural amplified tone with onboard EQ and tuner. Chrome die-cast tuners provide rock-solid tuning stability, while the Graphtech Nubone nut and saddle maximize sustain and tonal transfer. This instrument is built for performers who demand both style and substance.
