The Yamaha FGX800C is a right-handed dreadnought-style acoustic-electric guitar with a solid spruce top, nato/okoume back and sides, and a rosewood fingerboard. It features a traditional Western single cutaway body and is equipped with the Yamaha System 66 preamp and SRT under-saddle piezo pickup, offering controls for volume, 3-band EQ, mid-frequency (Mid FQ), and a built-in tuner. Other specifications include a 25 9/16" scale length, 1 11/16" (43mm) nut width, die-cast chrome tuners, and a gloss body finish with a matte neck finish.
