Yamaha FSC-TA RR Transacoustic Acoustic-Electric Guitar Ruby Red
Brand new!
The Yamaha FSC-TA TransAcoustic is a game-changing guitar with serious tricks up its sleeve. Honestly, we were blown away by the onboard reverb and chorus. You don't need an amp to enjoy the effects—these are natural sounds, not a simulation. The spruce top is married to a mahogany body for rich tones with real definition. Acoustic shredders on our staff appreciated the cutaway, which let them fly high up the fretboard. Available now at Musician's Friend, the Yamaha FSC-TA gets a guaranteed double take every single time you play it.

The TransAcoustic has real reverb and chorus
Reverb occurs when a sound reflects against a surface so rapidly that our brain interprets it as one continuous signal. You can capture that naturally in a confined space like an auditorium, digitally with a pedal or software simulation, or mechanically by sending the sound through a spring or large steel plate. The TransAcoustic does it differently. As you play, an actuator on the inside transfers string vibrations back into the body, which are then amplified naturally through the soundhole. This is real reverb—you don't need an amp. Select Hall or Room reverb, or Chorus to fatten up your sound. Each can be adjusted with the thumbwheel to find the right balance.
A cutaway lets you go higher
The Yamaha FSC-TA comes with a cutaway, allowing you to hit higher notes without straining your wrist. The body is mahogany with a spruce top, a time-tested combo suitable for all styles of music.
A pickup lets you amp it up
This TransAcoustic Cutaway has a piezo pickup with a line out. Plug it into an amp or PA when you need extra volume. You can send the reverb and chorus effects out, or go dry to fit in with a full band.
A neck that feels natural on versatile guitar
Yamaha covers the nato neck with a matte finish. It's a solid solution for sweaty hands. All of us at Musician's Friend found the C-shape profile to be comfortable during practice sessions, coffee shop gigs and casual jams. We loved surprising people with the reverb and chorus. The Yamaha FSC-TA TransAcoustic is an innovative acoustic-electric that's easy to pick up and difficult to put down. A case is available separately.
